On behalf of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, may I extend my gratitude to those who helped make this year’s Yule Run 5K such a success! Your continued dedication to the race and Greenwood has once again helped exceed our expectations for the race.

I first thank our sponsors, A & P Tax Commission, Farmers Bank, Walters and Gaston Law Firm, Johnson Dermatology, McDonalds, and Greenwood Athletic Club. Without your contribution, the race would now have taken place or been as successful as it was.

Thank you to the First Baptist Church for use of the Edge building. It is so nice to be able to go into a nice warm building after a cold run to warm up. Thanks to the wonderful support staff who worked tirelessly and endlessly before, during and after the race: Steve Sartain, Tracy Haest, Tessa Dean, Laura Jones, Alex and Anna Delcarman, Jan Gates, Theresa Burtchett, Cinda Bell, Wanda Kindberg, Doris Tate, Rick Lundsford, John and Sonya Fairbanks, Larry and Mary Stanfill, Todd and Marsha Pippin, and Rachael Grigg.

I also thank the runners, we must have sponsors, and support, but we need runners and participants as well.

It takes all of the above to pull off a successful race and you did it, including a couple of Santa’s Elfs and Reindeer. I hope I haven’t left anyone out, and if so I apologize, but please know, your efforts are appreciated.
