Thelma Stout, 74, of Van Buren, Ark., entered into rest on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born May 1, 1939 in Greenwood, the daughter of the late Charles and Gertie Hunter. Thelma was a former employee of Fort Chaffee and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her loving husband Boyd, three daughters, Aletha Burgess of Greenwood, Peggy L. Poindexter of Huntsville, Ala. and Doris Jones of Van Buren, Ark., two sons, Timothy and Joel Stout both of Van Buren, Ark., sister, Doris Jean Chronister of Fort Smith, two brothers, Faye Hunter of Liberty, Okla. and Kenneth Hunter of Enola, Okla., 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith with interment at Parks Cemetery in Charleston, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Aaron, Brian, Dustin and Joel Stout II, Robert Poindexter, Connor Burgess.
