Geraldine Brown, 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born in Sadie, Oklahoma in 1936 and graduated high school in Keota, Oklahoma in 1954. She met and married Jody Brown in 1955 and they had two children Larry and Mike. She assisted her husband, Jody in a small grocery store in Greenwood and Mansfield. She was also a great mother and grandmother, an avid bowler of forty years and enjoyed country music. After the death of her husband, Jody she found companionship with Royce Been until his death. Geraldine was of the Methodist faith.
Graveside service was held at 10 am Thursday, May 5th at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood.
She is survived by one son, Mike Brown of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Justin Brown, Nic Brown, Chadd Brown, Chris Brown and Cassie Brown; great grandchild Addalyn Brown; one niece, Jean Ann of Corners of Borger, Texas; a great niece, Rachael Wade of Amarillo, Texas; and great great nephews, Dillon and Conner Wade. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jody; son, Larry Brown; her parents, Jerry and Myrtle Powell; and sister, Ima Jean.
Pallbearers were Justin, Nic, Chadd, Chriss and Pat Ledbetter.
