Childress awarded Presidential Scholarship

The Office of University Relations/Admissions of Henderson State University, announces Emilee Marie Childress has been awarded the Presidential Scholarship for 2014-2015. According to Vikita Bell Hardwrick, Director, the Presidential Scholarship is equivalent to $5,000 per semester for up to four years. She is the daughter of Danny and Donna Childress. She is currently a student at Greenwood High School.

Hackett Resident Named on OBU Honor Roll

Hackett, Ark., resident James Freeman, a senior christian studies major, was named to Oklahoma Baptist University’s President’s Honor Roll for the fall 2013 semester.

Students who achieved a semester grade point average of 3.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale are named to the President’s Honor Roll. Those who achieved a grade point average between 3.4 and 3.69 are listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll.

Degen Foundation announces Scholarships

Allysia DuVall and Dana Reeves of Greenwood along with Abigail Holstein of Mansfield were recently awarded scholarships from the Degen Foundation.

ATU Scholarship

Benjamen Connor Keisling of Greenwood has received a University Honors Scholarship from Arkansas Tech University. Keisling is the son of Thale and Beth Deisling and the grandson of Betty and Bill Pugh as well as Terry and Angie Keisling. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and plans to major in Electrical Engineering
