Gary Loyd of Magazine has been promoted to area operations manager for CenturyLink, Inc. In his new position, Loyd will be responsible for all installation, repair and maintenance activities in western Arkansas as well as in the Jacksonville and Cabot areas.

Loyd began his career with CenturyLink in 2001 as a communications technician in western Arkansas. In 2008, he was promoted to area plant supervisor for the Greenwood and Booneville areas. Prior to 2001, Loyd worked for Cargill as an internal data and telecommunications specialist.

Loyd replaces Jim Bradley, who recently retired from CenturyLink after 42 years of service.

Loyd and his wife have two children and reside in central Logan County.
