Greenwood City Firefighter, Garry Norman, has served his community for the last four years. Norman started his emergency service career with the Greenwood Rural department where he was the department’s safety officer.
“I’m glad to have the opportunity to give back to the community,” said Norman. “I feel that as a first responder I can help people.”
Garry works full time as a tow truck operator and has been married to his wife Marie for 26 years. The Normans have two children; Zachary and Cleo.
“I have loved being on the Greenwood City Department,” said Norman. “I have loved the training. The education I have gotten here is incredible, the confidence I have gained as a firefighter is incredible and the comradery among the guys is just great.”
