Pink Bud Nursing Home residents enjoyed a day filled with drumming and a BBQ cookout on May 19th. "Faithfully Fit" brought the residents the joy of "Drums Alive". Crystal Cole, one of the instructors said the residents really enjoyed it. "These guys were great, very enthusiastic, their smiles were great. It is all about them having fun." The instructors tailored tunes from their generation. They played drums with flag sticks, drum sticks, and pool noodles. Enjoying tunes like "Jail House Rock" and "The Witch Doctor" allowed for resident participation. Brooke Whitworth of Pink Bud enjoys organizing events like this for the residents. "They all had a good time." Resident Geraldine Hearst said, "I liked the beat of all of it and the participation part." Drums Alive will also be performing at Freedom Fest this year for the Fourth of July celebration in Greenwood. Drums Alive organizes these events at nursing homes and schools from Rogers to Paris. They have attended 18 different nursing homes across the state.
