" ... in all your ways achnowledge him, and he shall direct your path." — Proverbs 3:6
When do we acknowledge God in our day to day lives? Isn’t it usually when we are in a crisis that we cannot handle? God will direct our paths, if we will acknowledge him in ALL of our ways.
Most of us who claim to be Christian, have no trouble acknowledging God when we gather in church to worship him, or when our lives are in crises. However, most of our everyday life is spent doing what we feel is necessary to achieve success, no matter what the endeavor. We try our best to be good friends, spouses, parents and workers, without acknowledging our need for God’s guidance in all of our affairs. Most of us divide our lives into blocks of responsibility, according to what we see to be important, and we forget that every choice and decision needs to acknowledge our dependence upon God for wisdom, knowledge, understanding and truth.
If we can learn to breathe his name, whenever we have to decide or choose, then he will direct our path by showing us the right choice or decision to make. Try it for a day and see if your life doesn’t take on a new security and faith in the God who loves you.
