Club Velocity expands into Boys Basketball

The highly successful Club Velocity youth sports program is expanding from volleyball into basketball. They are starting with boys teams, but are prepared to launch girls teams as well if there is enough interest. Their mission is, "To develop skills and the love of basketball here locally by providing competitive opportunities and quality coaching." Tryouts begin on Sunday, March 16 for grades 3-8. Grades 3 and 4 start at 1:30 p.m. followed by grades 5 and 6 at 2:30 p.m. and finishing with grades 7 and 8 at 3:30 p.m. The season begins in mid-March and runs through the end of May. There will be two practices per week and five tournaments. The cost is $385 per player and includes uniform, tournament fees, practices and paid coach.
