The Greenwood Bulldogs defeated Sheridan 54-0 last Friday night to keep their record at a perfect 9-0 on the year.

The Bulldogs took the lead within the first two minutes as running back Kenny Wood found the end-zone from 11 yards out to put Greenwood up 7-0. After a quick three and out by the Bulldog defense, Sheridan punted the ball away to the speedy Peyton Holt. Holt returned the punt all the way to the two yard line, where he stepped out of bounds. Just seconds later, Kenny Wood finished off what Peyton Holt started as he took the ball in from two yards out to extend the Bulldog lead.

The Bulldogs just kept tacking on as quarterback, Connor Noland, found Kade Orlichek open for a 27 yard touchdown pass. This put the Bulldogs out to a commanding 21-0 with four minutes left in the first quarter. After another stop by the Bulldog defense, Greenwood marched 42 yards down the field capped off by a Josh Barlow receiving touchdown from over thirty yards out.

The Bulldogs ended the first quarter up 28-0 and they kept that momentum going into the early second quarter. Only one minute into the quarter Noland found Wood open down the Sheridan sideline for a 70 yard touchdown, his third of the night. The Greenwood defense continued to shine in this game, as Dylan Vota stepped in front of a receiver to intercept the ball and take it 60 yards back to the house for another Bulldog touchdown. After a missed PAT Greenwood was up 41-0 with 10 minutes left in the second quarter. The Bulldogs scored one more time in the second quarter after Kenny Wood found the end-zone again, for the touchdown. The Bulldogs tacked on another touchdown in the third quarter thanks to Jackson Webb bringing the final score to 54-0.

The Bulldogs (9-0, 6-0) travel to Lake Hamilton (5-4, 3-3) Friday for their last regular season matchup of the year and encourage everyone to come out.
