Sydnie was introduced to golf by her dad at the young age of 2 years old and started the program at The First Tee when she turned 3 years old. She has worked hard & excelled through the programs to reach her highest level as an ACE participant. The First Tee of Fort Smith has taught Sydnie Life Skills that she will not only use on the golf course but also use throughout her everyday life. She has been taught the 9 Core Values that she follows on a daily basis. I cannot say enough good things about this program and it shows through the confident, talented young lady she has become. She volunteers her time at The First Tee as a volunteer coach as much as possible when she is not out of town playing golf tournaments. She has always treated The First Tee as her second home away from home.

Sydnie has been given several national opportunities through The First Tee. Her recent opportunity will take her to West Palm Beach, FL where she will attend the College Golf Prep Academy July 11-18. This Academy will show the selected participants how to prepare for College as a Collegiate Athlete. She will have a full itinerary filled with a week of golf activities, a 2-day golf tournament, Qualifier, Match Play tournament, workout time, speakers, etc. Of course they will be allowed some down for the beach too!

Sydnie has been selected for 4 previous national golf opportunities and this will be her 5th. She has attended the IJGA Training Academy in Hilton Head Island, SC along with playing in the Par-3 Championship in Richmond, VA both -June 2015. She also attended the Life Skills & Leadership Academy in Blaine, MN -July 2015 and she had the opportunity to play in the Nature Valley First Tee Open in Pebble Beach, CA with PGA Pro, Glen Day -September 2016.

Sydnie will be a senior at Greenwood High School where she is captain on the Varsity High School Golf Team. She has also verbally committed to play at University of Arkansas-Fort Smith on a full golf scholarship fall of 2018.
