Billie Ruth Cox, 83, of Waldron, Arkansas passed away on Monday September 16, 2013. Billie was born June 4, 1930 to the late Joe and Lillie (Martin) Hanna in Hollis, Oklahoma.
She is survived by one son Bud Cox and wife Nena of Greenwood, Arkansas, two daughters; Billie Jean Qualls and husband Mike of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Vicki Mason of Fort Smith, Arkansas, five grandchildren; Jason Stearman and wife Kyla of Waldron, Arkansas, Trent Cox and wife Shauna of Greenwood, Arkansas, Nicki Blankenship and husband Craig of Greenwood, Arkansas, Jennifer Cates and husband Darrell of Pottsville, Arkansas, Jessica Charles of Greenwood, Arkansas, 13 great-grandchildren; Megan Stearman, Jacob Stearman, Mindy Combs, Kyle Combs, Luke McCullough, Allison McCullough, Lindsey McCullough, Caleb Cox, Brycen Cox, Matthew Blankenship, Emma Blankenship Maddy Cates and Mickayla Oden.
Billie is also survived by three brothers; Butch Hanna and wife Janice of Winfield, Arkansas, Jim Hanna and wife Lea of Waldron, Arkansas, Jerry Hanna and wife Vicki of Monette, Arkansas, three sisters; Betty Byford of Lake Hinkle, Joyce Byford of Winfield, Arkansas, Peggy Collins and husband James of Paragould, Arkansas and by several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband J.T. Cox, one brother Joe Hanna, Jr., half brother John Hanna and one great-granddaughter Hanna Blankenship.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pilot Prairie Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas
Pallbearers were Jason Stearman, Trent Cox, James Hanna, Joe Lee Hanna, Joe Neal Byford and John Douglas Cox.
Honorary pallbearers were Clinton Byford, Ricky Byford, David Byford, Bobby Byford, Jim Hanna, Butch Hanna, Jerry Hanna, Joe Stearman, Tom Cox, Willie Cox, Sidney Cox and Morris Cox.
