Three new members were inducted into the Greenwood Education Foundation Hall of Honor at the annual Alumni Luncheon held in the GHS Student Union on October 5th.

Edwin Hicks, noted author, Damon Sadler, longtime teacher and principal at Greenwood Schools and Dorothy Pazdera Weisenfels, longtime teacher and principal at Greenwood Schools, made up the Class of 2013 Hall of Honor inductees. Each honoree received a plaque noting his or her contributions to the school and community with a duplicate plaque being placed in the Greenwood Public Schools Administration Building auditorium. All plaques were provided by Farmers’ Bank.

Over 100 GHS alumni and guests attended the annual Alumni Luncheon sponsored by the Greenwood Education Foundation. Special recognition was given to the Class of 1953, which was celebrating its 60th reunion and to the class of 1958 which was celebrating its 55th reunion. Although not in attendance at the Alumni Luncheon, the Classes of 2003, 1993 and 1978 held reunions over the weekend.

Anyone wanting to nominate an individual for future induction into the Hall of Honor needs to contact JoElla Skaggs at 996-4141. Nominations are to be based on the individual’s contribution to Greenwood Schools, the community or to mankind.
