Cinda Bell, owner of the Osborn Insurance Agency in Greenwood, was awarded the Charlotte Patterson Memorial Award at the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas’ 113th annual convention. The award, named for the late Charlotte Patterson of Booneville, recognizes the outstanding professional woman of the year who has made an outstanding contribution to community and to the insurance industry collectively.
Bell has been a loyal member of the Independent Insurance Agents Association and insurance agent for more than 40 years. She is a fourth generation owner of the Agency which started in Greenwood in 1907.
She is a current Greenwood Parks Commissioner, chair of the Bell Park Foundation, charter member of the Greenwood Rotary Club, treasurer of the South Sebastian County Historical Society and a member of the Farmers Bank Board of Advisers. In 2008, she was selected as Greenwood Citizen of the Year. She is a past president of the Fort Smith Little Theatre, served as secretary of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Advisers of the Harbor View Mercy Hospital.
Founded in 1901, the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas represented approximately 350 member agencies in the state as is affiliated with the Independent Agents and Brokers of America, the national’s largest independent agents association.
