The Artist of the month for May is Ginger Hamm. Her artwork will be on display at City Hall in Greenwood during the month of May. Ms. Hamm shares that art is very much a part of her. She finds much happiness from creating and living a creative life. Ms. Hamm finds her inspiration everywhere. She views a beautiful sunset as God brushing strokes of color from His paint box across the sky.

Ms. Hamm feels her artwork is forever changing and evolving. She loves to explore different themes and discover new techniques with different mediums. In addition to creating colorful paintings, Ms. Hamm is working in silver jewelry making. She works with silver clay and creates hand-built designs such as silver pendants.

Julie Mayser will be displaying her artwork at BancorpSouth Bank for the month of May. Her artwork to be displayed includes the piece "Spring Be Now Sweet", an 18 by 24 pastel and the piece " Sweet Breathe of Roses", an 20 by 24 pastel. Be sure to view her artwork as well.

The Art Guild meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6pm in the Community Room at the main branch of Farmers Bank in Greenwood. The next meeting is May 22, at 6 pm. Visitors are welcome. To obtain more information about the organization including membership, please check our website at
