Greenwood High School Assistant Principal, Chris Young, has served in education for the last 19 years. “Greenwood is the only place that I have ever worked,” said Young. “I could not imagine working anywhere else. I could not imagine raising my kids anywhere else.”
Chris’s parents were both teachers and coaches; his father was the head coach at Northside for 20 years and his mother coach volleyball, gymnastics and cheerleading at Darby as well as the head volleyball coach at Northside. Young’s sister also teaches in the Fort Smith School district.
Chris followed in his parents footsteps attending UCA and becoming a teacher and a coach for Greenwood. Young has served as the assistant principal for the last eight years.
Chris has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 18 years. The Youngs have two children; Cooper and Kenzie.
