Poultry Testing Workshop All exhibitors (Adults & Youth) of poultry are reminded that poultry must be blood tested within 90 days prior to the fair.
This applies to ALL poultry including 4-H Poultry Chain Birds. Mandatory Blood Testing Dates:
Saturday, August 18th – Franklin County Extension Office – Ozark 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Sunday, August 19th – South Franklin County Fairgrounds – Charleston 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Call the Extension office at 479-667-3720 by August 15th to schedule your day and time to have your birds Blood Tested.
You may take your poultry to either location. The blood testing is being donated by Cristy Wells and is free for 4-H Pullet Chain birds and broilers. There will be a 50 cent charge per bird brought by 4-H members that are not 4-H Pullet Chain Birds or Broilers and $1 per bird charge for any non-4-H members needing birds tested. If you miss these dates you will be responsible for locating your own tester. No untested birds will be allowed to unload at the fairgrounds.
