Southern Arkansas University has announced the awarding of scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year.


Students from this area include the following:


Cortney Hicks of Greenwood has been selected to receive the Blue and Gold Scholarship, which has a four-year value of $26,400 and includes $3,300 per semester. Hicks is the daughter of Leann Hicks and Clayton Hicks and is a recent Greenwood High School graduate.


Lilliah Pugh of Greenwood has been selected to receive the Achievement Scholarship, which has a four-year value of $8,000 and includes $1,000 per semester. Pugh is the daughter of Justine Pugh and is a recent Greenwood High School graduate.


Jace Garrett of Greenwood has been selected to receive the University Scholarship, which has a four-year value of $36,000 and includes $4,500 per semester. Garrett is the son of Amy Roberts and Bob Roberts and is a recent Greenwood High School graduate.
