Angie and Charley Kay are pictured with the set up for Teen Summer Reading Activities (available to students Middle School and up) offered this summer by Friends of the Library. Charley Kay enjoyed the Library's Summer Reading Program as a child and still loves to read! Her favorite book is Divergent and she is currently enjoying the Maze Runner series.

Her mother, Angie, has always encouraged her to read. After noticing that her child that enjoyed reading was a better test taker, she wanted to instill that quality in Charley Kay. They believe libraries are important so that the love of reading can be available to everyone. Whether you enjoy novels or reading picture books to small children (Angie's favorite) it is just important to read. Angie Sharp gets to read her favorite books to children every school year as she serves as the director for the Greenwood FBC Mother's Day Out Program. They serve children from 6 months to Pre-K and you can sign up in the church office. Summer is a great time to catch up on some reading. This year's Summer Reading Program theme is Libraries Rock and is for children ages 4 and up.
