No injuries were reported in a mobile home fire on Acklin Gap Road on Thursday morning.

“The homeowners were able to escape on their own,” authorities on scene told the Log Cabin Democrat.

Witnesses said a grass fire got out of hand and quickly engulfed the double-wide mobile home shortly after 11 a.m.

The Liberty, Holland, Wooster, Greenbrier and Beaverfork fire departments responded to the blaze.

Traffic on Acklin Gap Road, which is off Highway 65 near Greenbrier, was diverted for nearly two hours as the departments extinguished the flames.

No further information was immediately available.
