Nick Henson is a 1991 graduate from Greenwood High School. He has served his community as a paramedic since 1996.
“I just wanted to help people,” said Henson. Nick said that he started down the path as a scrub tech in the ER but wanted to be more hands on. Henson went through the paramedic program at Westark Community College under instructor Gayla Gregory while working for Sparks hospital and Walmart.
“I have never had just one job,” said Henson.
Nick has also worked for Angelcare, Arkansas Emergency Transport, Crawford Memorial, Southwest EMS and Fort Smith EMS, where he still works one day a week.
Henson began working at Sebastian County EMS part time in 2001 and went full time in 2005.
Nick has been married to his wife,Brandy, for seven years. Together the Henson’s have four children; Bow, Leighann, Thayden and Evan.
