The Greenwood Lady Bulldogs basketball team is continuing to pursue to its goal and get better as a team.

Together they can accomplish more. They continue to learn from their mistakes and fix them for the next game.

The Lady Bulldogs (3-4) went 1-2 during this past weekend’s Tournament of Champions and will compete in the annual H.B. Stewart Classic, which Greenwood will host on Thursday-Saturday.

The Lady Bulldogs will play at Rogers (Dec. 20) and host Heritage (Dec. 22) before taking a brief break for the Christmas holiday.

It will be a short break for the Lady Bulldogs, who will compete in a tournament at Mountain Home on Dec. 28-30.

The Lady Bulldogs are encouraged to be the best they can be and to play to their strengths by their two coaches – head coach Clay Reeves and assistant coach Paul Dean.

Sometimes it’s hard to keep the right mind set when things aren’t going great. The Lady Bulldogs said that how they keep a right mind set is that they help encourage each other and know that they can do anything they put their minds to.

Physically being prepared could be a little harder than being mentally prepared. Mentally you just have to have confidence in yourself and in your team. Physically you have to be in shape and know the plays of the game.

The Lady Bulldogs said that they have to function together as a team and to get physically prepared they have to learn and go over the plays a lot.

Also, they have to do a lot of running drills to keep their bodies in shape.
