The Sixth Annual Miss Greenwood Pageant was held April 30th at the Performing Arts Center in Greenwood. Young ladies were competing from ages 5 months to 18 years in eight divisions. The Miss Greenwood Pageant is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote character, leadership and confidence.
The ladies competed in spring wear and formal wear. All of the contestants ages 13-18 also competed in sit down interviews with the judges. The Miss Greenwood Pageant emcee’ was April Baker, the 5 news morning anchor along with the 2015 Miss Greenwood Kendra Brown. Miss Brown shared, "Being Miss Greenwood means so much more than just a shiny crown. It is being able to represent a town full of people with big hearts AND so big rings. I’m so proud to be from Greenwood, and so blessed to have been Miss Greenwood 2015."
Special thanks goes to all who competed and participated in any way to make this event successful. The Miss Greenwood Pageant is a community event that showcases how extraordinary the town and her people are.
