Summer Block Party

Nursing Home Senior Olympics

The 2016 Nursing Home Senior Olympics is scheduled for Friday July 22nd it will be held at the Fort Smith Convention Center downtown, beginning around 10:00am. There will be around 15 area nursing homes competing. Games are Wheelchair Races, Discus Throw, Shot-Put, Bean Bag Toss. Fun event for anyone to attend and watch.

"Ocean Commotion" VBS

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will be having an "Ocean Commotion" VBS— where kids will learn about how Noah stood for God during the time of the Great Flood as they enjoy songs, crafts, lessons, snacks and more! July 25-29 at 5711 Mt Zion Road (between Greenwood and Hacket) from 6:15pm-8:45pm, with registration starting at 5:45pm Monday night. Call 996-7697 for more information.

Pittbull Sign-ups

Sign-ups will take place May 1st-July 30th, online at www.greenwoodpittbulls.net. the cost is $45 for league, early sign-ups, $60 for league sign-ups, after July 1st, and $40 for Pad Camp (July 18, 19, and 21). Anybody that is in the3rd thru 6th grade for the school year of 2016-2017, and lives in Greenwood is more than welcome to play. All you have to provide is a helmet and cleats…Pittbulls will supply the rest! GHS Alumni & Friends Tennis Tournament

The Greenwood High School Tennis Team will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday, August 6th at the GHS Tennis Courts from 6pm-8pm. The entry fee is $25 per player. To register call or text Coach Hamilton 479-221-5590.

Mt. Zion Fall Festival

On Saturday, November 7th from 4-6pm, Mt. Zion Baptist Church will be hosting their Annual Fall Festival. This will be an evening filled with hayrides, games, food, pony rides, bounce around, door prizes, live music and more! This is a free community event and everyone is welcome!
